- 1 to 2 scoops Vega Whole Foods Health Optimizer (flavor of your choice)
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon agave nectar
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth, then enjoy. This is a very filling smoothie that keeps me full for 3 to 4 hours and is perfect after my Insanity workout.
I am not going to lie, the natural flavor is not the greatest, but if it continues to give me the energy I keep feeling after taking it, it is worth it to me. There were no other flavor options available at the store, so I bought what they had. Went online last night and ordered other flavors in hopes of a better tasting smoothie and will keep you posted on my future taste tests with them all.
I saw the Vega when I went to Whole Foods on Monday. I really want to try it, but I just can't bring myself to pay that much...not right now anyway. :o) I did buy some pea protein powder though. I've had it the past two mornings and it's not bad. It really doesn't have a taste, but you can tell it's in the smoothie...it's a tad chalky, but that doesn't bother me. I'll have to try the Vega sometime though....that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteI had the chai flavor the other day and didn't love it. The fruity ones are good though! I use the packet a few times to make it stretch through 2-3 smoothies.
